I was born and raised in North Carolina. As a child I knew I loved interior design. I would rearrange furniture in our house and redecorate shelves. Growing up as a preacher’s kid, “PK”, I was limited with my freedom of decorating at home. We always lived in a parsonage, a church owned home. They were all beautiful homes, but you couldn’t change a wall color without going through a committee. That just fueled my desire for interior design! I attended East Carolina University’s Interior Design program. I studied at ECU for 4 years and loved every bit of it, but I was ready to graduate and have “real” projects. I have a big family that is wonderful and always keeps me grounded and a loving husband who is patient with my ever changing décor and ideas around our own home! I have worked with numerous designers and architects, learning many remarkable things and developing my creativity. With this experience, I took the leap of opening Laura Lee Interiors!
